Privacy Policy
This site is run by Mykyta (Nick) Lysenko, an individual. It is a static website: a set of files served to your browser, with no server code of its own, no database, no accounts and no forms. This page explains what data is processed when you visit it.
What I do not collect
- The site has no forms, comments, sign-ups or logins, so you do not give it any information directly.
- It has no advertising, and it does not use your data to show ads.
- It loads no external fonts, embeds or advertising content. The only outside resources are Google’s measurement scripts described below.
Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics
The site uses Google Tag Manager to manage measurement tags, and Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are used. These are services of Google. Google’s role and what it does with the data is described in its own privacy information.
- Every visit. Loading Google Tag Manager means your browser requests a file from Google’s servers, so Google receives technical information such as your IP address and browser type. This happens on every page, in every country, before any choice you make.
- In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland the site starts with analytics storage switched off. A cookie banner is shown on your first visit; analytics cookies are used only if you choose Accept there. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. Depending on how Google’s tags are configured, Google may still receive limited signals without cookies, such as the page address and browser type, even while analytics storage is off.
- In other countries analytics storage is on by default. You can switch it off with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer, your browser’s settings, or the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Why: to tell unique visitors apart and to measure how many times pages are viewed, how far people scroll, which outbound links are clicked and how often script files are downloaded. I do not try to identify you, and I do not combine the data with anything else.
- What is measured when analytics is on: pages viewed, scrolling, clicks on links to other sites, script downloads, approximate location, device and browser type, how you arrived at the site, and a random identifier stored in cookies. Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store individual IP addresses.
- Cookies, only when analytics is on:
_ga(2 years, tells visitors apart) and_ga_DBP55LGRMM(2 years, keeps the state of a visit). Separately, the cookie banner stores your choice in a first-party cookie calledconsent(6 months, valuegrantedordenied); it is set when you click Accept or Reject and is not used for anything else. - Who receives the data: Google. For users in the EEA and Switzerland the service is provided by Google Ireland Limited, elsewhere (including the UK) by Google LLC.
- Transfers outside the EEA: data can be processed in the United States. Google states that it relies on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and on standard contractual clauses for such transfers.
Hosting
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. As with any web host, GitHub receives technical information about each request, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of the visit. GitHub handles it under its own privacy statement.
Search performance
I may use Google Search Console to see how the site appears in Google Search, for example which pages are indexed and which searches lead here. The data comes from Google and is aggregated.
Downloads
Script files are plain static files. Downloading one does not require any information from you. The scripts run inside your own Google Ads account, not on this site, and the current script sends nothing to me.
Donations
Where the site shows cryptocurrency wallet addresses for donations, they are public addresses. A donation is a transaction on a public blockchain that anyone can see. The site does not process payments and does not see who donates.
Other sites
The site links to LinkedIn and may link to other sites, such as GitHub. Their own privacy policies apply once you follow a link.
Your rights
The data described above is processed by Google and GitHub as independent services. You can exercise your rights under the GDPR or other laws, such as access or deletion, with them. If you have a question about how this site uses the data, contact me through LinkedIn.
Contact
The only contact channel is my LinkedIn profile.
Changes
If the way the site handles data changes, for example a new tool or tracking service is added, I will update this page and its date before the change goes live.
